Website Purchases, Returns & Gift Voucher
Terms
Document Reference: KAD-POL-018 | Version 1.0 | Effective October 2026 | Review Cycle: Annual
Approved By: Principal – Kildare Academy of Dance
Next Review Date: October 2027
Applies To: Customers purchasing Dance Shop products or gift vouchers
through the Academy website.

1. Purpose and Scope
These terms apply to purchases made directly through The Kildare Academy of Dance
website, including Dance Shop products and gift vouchers. Class bookings and class
payments are managed separately through the DanceBiz customer portal and are subject
to the Academy's class enrolment terms and policies.
2. Seller Details
The seller is The Kildare Academy of Dance Ltd, Company Registration No. 628954, Unit
W1K, Ladytown Business Park, Toughers, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 AK79, Ireland. Queries
may be sent to officekildaredance@gmail.com or made by telephone on 087 679 8534.
3. Products, Prices and Availability
Product descriptions, sizes, colours and prices will be shown on the website. Prices are
stated in euro. We aim to keep product information accurate, but availability may change
and an order may be cancelled and refunded if an item cannot be supplied.
Current Dance Shop ranges may include Academy T -shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and
fleeces together with other dancewear or Academy merchandise added from time to time.

4. Orders and Payment
An online order is an offer to purchase the selected item. The Academy may contact
the customer if there is a stock, size, colour, payment or order issue. Payment must
be successfully completed before an order is released for collection.
5. Collection from the Studio
Dance Shop online orders are for collection from the Kildare Academy of Dance studio
only. The Academy does not currently offer postal delivery.
Customers will be advised when their order is ready for collection. Collection
arrangements may be adjusted during studio closures, holidays or special events.
6. Online Cancellation and Change-of-Mind Returns
For most goods purchased online, a customer may cancel the purchase within 14 days of
receiving the goods without giving a reason. The customer should notify the Academy
within that 14 -day period. Customers may use the Cancellation Form provided at
Appendix 1, although use of the form is not compulsory and cancellation may also be
notified by another clear written statement. Following cancellation, the goods must be
returned to the Academy within a further 14 days.
Returned goods should be unused, unworn other than as reasonably necessary to inspect
them, and returned with labels and packaging where reasonably possible. A customer
may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is
necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
7. Returns to the Studio and Refunds
As orders are collected from the studio, returns should also be made to the studio unless
the Academy agrees another arrangement. Customers should contact the Academy
before returning an online order so the return can be recorded. Where a customer chooses
an alternative method of returning the goods, any direct return costs will be the customer's
responsibility unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
Where the statutory right to cancel applies, refunds will be processed in accordance with
applicable consumer law and normally to the original payment method, unless otherwise
agreed.

8. Exceptions to Change-of-Mind Returns
The statutory cooling-off right may not apply to certain goods, including personalised or
made-to-order items and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene
reasons once unsealed, where the relevant legal conditions apply.
These exceptions do not remove a customer's statutory rights where goods are faulty, not
as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
9. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, not as described or not fit for its intended purpose,
customers should contact the Academy as soon as possible. Statutory consumer rights
apply independently of the Academy's change-of-mind arrangements.
10. In-Studio Purchases
A statutory 14 -day cooling-off period generally applies to distance purchases such as
online orders; it does not generally apply simply because a customer changes their mind
about goods purchased in person at the studio. Any additional exchange or return
arrangement offered by the Academy for an in -studio purchase is a discretionary store
policy and does not affect statutory rights in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods.
11. Gift Vouchers
Kildare Academy of Dance gift vouchers may be used towards eligible dance classes and
Dance Shop purchases, subject to any stated booking or availability requirements.
• Kildare Academy of Dance gift vouchers are valid for a minimum of five years from
the date of purchase. The expiry date will be provided in writing with the gift voucher.
• Customers will not be required to spend the full value of a Kildare Academy of Dance
gift voucher in a single transaction.
• More than one Kildare Academy of Dance gift voucher may be used in a transaction.
• Where a partial redemption leaves a balance of more than €1, the customer will be
entitled to the remaining balance in accordance with applicable Irish gift voucher
law, including by cash, electronic transfer or another gift voucher. Where another
gift voucher is issued, it will retain the expiry date of the original voucher.
• Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

12. Class Purchases and Bookings
Class places, trials and term enrolments are not purchased through the main website
shop. Customers are directed to the DanceBiz customer portal for class bookings and
payments. Class fees, make -up classes, withdrawals and other class arrangements are
governed by the Academy's separate enrolment terms and policies.
13. Privacy
Personal information provided in connection with website orders and gift vouchers will be
handled in accordance with KAD-POL-017 Privacy Policy and KAD-POL-008 Data
Protection & GDPR Policy.
14. Contact and Complaints
Questions about an order, return, refund or gift voucher should be sent to
officekildaredance@gmail.com. The Academy will aim to resolve customer issues
promptly and fairly. Nothing in these terms limits rights that a consumer has under
applicable Irish consumer law.
Acknowledgement
All staff and other persons involved in processing website orders, Dance Shop purchases,
returns, refunds or gift vouchers on behalf of The Kildare Academy of Dance are expected
to familiarise themselves with these Terms and to apply them consistently when dealing
with customers.
